Tina Fey and Steve Carell’s Date Night Trailer is Shockingly Watchable

I’ll be honest with ya, I didn’t think I would ever even consider watching something called “Date Night” starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell. Nothing against either actor, I think they’re both pretty good stuff, but come on, “Date Night”? Eh. But I gotta admit, this first trailer (via Apple) for the movie actually looks surprisingly decent. It’s all silly action-comedy stuff, to be sure, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that on a Friday night with the old lady. Check out the first trailer for “Date Night” below.

In New York City, a case of mistaken identity turns a bored married couple’s attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening into something more thrilling and dangerous.

Besides Fey and Carell, the movie also has guest appearances by Mila Kunis, Leighton Meester, a shirtless Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Wiig, Ray Liotta, Olivia Munn, Taraji P. Henson, and rapper Common. “Night at the Museum’s” Shawn Levy directs.

Make the date April 9, 2010.

Well after “Get Smart” this is a logical choice for Carell. Looked ok. I would NEtflix it.
