Although I tend to shy away from movies that take place in one solitary location, director Rodrigo Cortés’ fascinating thriller “Buried” managed to captivate yours truly while proving once again why Ryan Reynolds is a solid, well-rounded actor. Despite the singular setting and limited cast, the film trucks along at a fairly brisk pace, arriving at its decidedly startling climax precisely when it needs to. Even if you’re not a Reynolds fan, you have to admit that the guy actually manages to hold his own this time around. Of course, being extremely claustrophobic may have influenced my opinion exponentially.
