The Taint
In the world of over-the-top horror/comedies, Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson’s outrageous low-budget indie effort dwells in a deliriously surreal realm all its own. It’s the bastard love child of Peter Jackson, Frank Henenlotter, and David Cronenberg, a twisted, crotch-driven example of modern-day “body horror” executed in the vein of an 80’s splatterfest. Of course, most people might have a problem watching a movie that features so many exploding penises, particularly if they’re mildly uncomfortable in their heterosexuality. Calling it genius might be reaching a bit, but it’s pretty darn close.
