Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” doesn’t open until 2012 (July 20, 2012, to be exact), but that doesn’t mean you can’t see parts of it 7 months earlier. Or, to be specific, six whole minutes of “The Dark Knight Rises”.
Slashfilm says 6 minutes of “Rises” will be screening exclusively in front of the IMAX prints of Tom Cruise’s “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol”, when that film opens on IMAX screens 5 days before it’s official December 21st release date.
This is not new. Nolan did the same thing with “The Dark Knight” in 2007, screening the 5-minute opening scene from the film in front of Will Smith’s “I am Legend”. Four years ago, we got our first look at the Joker as he robbed the mob-controlled bank. Who knows what we’ll get this time around? A great look at Bane as he does his Bane thing, perhaps?
Warner Bros. has not confirmed or deny the report, though other sites are saying they’ve confirmed the Slashfilm report with their own sources.
