Tom Hardy, all tatted up and with nowhere to go, recently showed up on a British chat show called “Alan Carr: Chatty Man” (cause, see, his name is Alan Carr, and he’s the host of a chat show, get it?), and briefly talked to the cheeky host about playing Bane in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises”, set for release in 2012.
According to Hardy, he expects to start shooting the film in May, which means a lot of bulking up to do is in his immediate future. He also briefly discusses Joel Schumacher’s “Batman and Robin”, which also featured Bane as a villain, and assures fans that his and Nolan’s version of Bane won’t be as campy.
Hardy will be joining Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises”, with Christian Bale returning as Batman, possibly for the last time.
