Get it? Because he’s signed on to star in a movie called “Locke”? Ahem.
Anyways, looks like Tom Hardy has found another acting gig, this time starring in the thriller “Locke” for writer/director Steven Knight, not to be mistaken with Steven S. DeKnight, the creator of “Spartacus” on Starz.
Knight’s “Locke” will star Hardy, and will be “the story of one man’s life unraveling in a tension-fuelled ninety minute race against time. Ivan Locke has the perfect family, his dream job, and tomorrow should be the crowning moment of his career. But one phone call will force him to make a decision that will put it all on the line.”
Knight is the writer of “Eastern Promises” and “Dirty Pretty Things”, and is set to make his directorial debut on “Hummingbird” with Jason Statham this year. That means “Locke” will probably have to wait until late 2013 or 2014.
Tom Hardy, meanwhile, has “Child 44” and “Animal Rescue” on tapped, both co-starring Noomi Rapace of “Prometheus” and “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” fame. And of course, he’s due to hit the streets with George Miller’s “Fury Road” soon enough.
