Tony Scott Boards Unstoppable Thriller
Unstoppable (2010) Movie — By Nix on March 30, 2009
Tony Scott can’t get enough of trains. After helming the remake of “The Taking of Pelham 123″, the lesser of the Scott brothers has climbed onboard the runaway train thriller “Unstoppable” for Fox. The studio is looking at a 2010 start date for the picture, with Scott working with screenwriter Mark Bomback to figure how to make this thing as viscerally confusing and quick-edit happy as possible. I kid the Scott.
Says Variety:
The drama involves an unmanned runaway train that is carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. An engineer and his conductor find themselves in a race against time.
Now if only Scott and Bomback can figure out how to add terrorists and Steven Seagal into the mix, we’ll have ourselves the long-awaited “Under Siege 3″. We’ve all been dying for an “Under Siege 3″, right? It’s not just me, is it?
Below: “Under Siege 3? Yeah, I’m down. This shoot has gourmet catering, right?” This Steven Seagal is a tad bloated lately joke brought to you by Odious JokesRus)
