Tony Stark Visits South Korea to Promote Iron Man 3, Gets a Birthday Cake

Robert Downey Jr. Promoting Iron Man 3 in South Korea

As part of his world tour to promote “Iron Man 3”, his third outing as the Invincible Armored Avenger, Robert Downey Jr. dropped by South Korea yesterday, posed for lots of photos, and cut a birthday cake, April 4th being his birthday. He’s got Beijing, Moscow, Paris, and London scheduled next. Then it’s back to the good ol USA with Los Angeles for the premiere of the movie, and the TV rounds in New York.

While he’s in South Korea, I wonder if they’re going to ask him to to suit up and help with that whole North “situation”. Couldn’t hurt, right?

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

“Iron Man 3” also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Dale Badge, Jon Favreau, Ashley Hamilton, and is directed by Shane Black.

Ol shellhead saves the day this May 3, 2013.
