#5- BERSERKER RAGE – (X2) 2003
In the first film they only scratched the surface of Logan’s ferocity. “X2″ upped the game in every aspect and finally delivered on Wolverine’s potential to be the best at what he does, although, what he does best isn’t very nice. Logan has had many memorable scenes within the franchise (who could forget his cameo in First Class?) but none have been so iconic and so well translated.
#4- THE BROTHERHOOD BEGINS – (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) 2011
In my opinion “X-Men: First Class” is the best entry into the franchise. Many nuances lend to my admiration for the film but none more than the execution of Magneto. Ian McKellan gave the character an heir of superiority and wisdom in the first three films and Michael Fassbender pays homage to his portrayal while adding a new element of roguish charm and charisma coupled with a mean streak a mile wide. The film culminates with the formation of Magneto’s team, comics’ greatest villains…The Brotherhood.
#3- ERIK’S REVENGE – (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) 2011
He sent a coin through Shaw’s head!
Nuff’said!
#2- THE DANGER ROOM – (X-MEN: THE LAST STAND) 2006
Oh the joy of having one of my favorite aspects of the comics realized on the big screen.
• The team displaying their individual powers. Check!
• Awesome teamwork like the illustrious “Fastball Special”. Double check!!
Plus there was a sentinel being decapitated by the ol’ canucklehead himself!
Say what you will about Brett Ratner, that scene was wicked!!!
#1- THE WHITE HOUSE ATTACK – (X2) 2003
The greatest moment (so far) in the X-Men film franchise has got to be Nightcrawler’s assault on the oval office in “X2″. You could hear the BAMF, see the smoke cloud, you could practically smell the sulfur! His role was not very big but ask any “X” fan what the best part of “X2″ is and they’ll tell you it is Nightcrawler and this scene in particular.
What are some of your favorite moments in the “X-Men” movie universe so far?
