The Fast and the Furious 4 (2009) Movie — By Nix on February 11, 2008

So what will Brian O’Conner and Dominic Toretto (aka Paul Walker and Vin Diesel) be tooling around in in the upcoming “The Fast and the Furious 4″ movie? To be honest with you, my full knowledge of cars begins and ends with, “Step on that thing, the car goes; step on the other thing, the car stops”. But luckily, the guys over at vindieselgallery.net knows more than I do. Check out what they’re saying will be the ride of choice for our two heroes below.

How do you get an 08 wrx sti into a so called prequel to tokyo drift *confused*

  • Iain says:

I see Brians character has downgraded from a Evo to a Scooby! Hope you realise the Scooby got really bad reviews in Britian!

  • David says:

I have watched every fast and the furious movie there is, even the prequel of what happens after 1 and before 2 and i have to say i am dissappointed that Brian is going to be rolling around in a scooby! not good.

  • cyboe226 says:

And now they are going to ad a mustang knowing that one got smoked on the ff2 and a soccer mom scooby, whats next an aerostar. These producers gotta get out and watch the real racing scene instaed of dumping cash into a trendy movie…Hondas Rule enuff said..

    • eric says:

if u like cheap shit that u can throw another engine into and then say its O.K. then yes honda rules other wise stfu and hi drive a civic off a clif

  • stuart says:

hondas rule…:( I hear this all the time but honestly in my opinion its the begining of a tuner. I have worked on everything from stock DX’s to integra jdm type r’s and as cheap and simple as they are you can only do so much and its done by so many people so often that it gets a bit dull. As for the not being part of the scene mustangs are. Take your own advice and go to the drags 80% of the cars are American muscle. And those big monsterous v8’s c
the NHRA at 7000hp… Hemi motors are notorious for their hp/tq capabilities. And companies like JEGS make parts easier to get ahold of. On the drift scene you see a lot of 350z’s and 240’s and silvia’s but now your starting to see American muscle like ford mustangs and correct me if I’m wrong but a 800hp dodge viper held the crown at almost every event it was in. And now the same driver is punishing opponents in a Pontiac solstice. Go to the twisty tracks of the world and you see german cars in a league of there own. They outhandle everything big thanks to nurburgring. Skylines and the new GTR got this benifit also. Top speed hands down goes to Germans and exotics. No American or jap cars have long enough final drive ratios. Except theoccasional viper and vettes and the gtr. Then off the tracks you get the audiophiles and tuners that go for looks sacraficing weight and usually increasing luxury. Which brings me to my next point about hondas. Cloth seats and plastic everything is not attractive to the body. American and Asian cars are a class above with leather and plastic and the german and exotics are gorgeous leather and unlimited features. But at a heavy cost. Which is partially due to expensive labor costs not cause the maker is trying to rip you off. G35,37 and Z’s have decent interiors and are getting better. Lexus make very comfortable interiors that can make some cars three times its cost look bad. Hondas are the cheap but effective starter car when you only have 20k to get a car and upgrade it hondas will be the best choice but with more money to spend comes more options and when people get older the luxury appeals more. For example would you take a stock civic si over a stock m3? Probably not but like I said it comes at an easy 30k difference in price . And at the end of the day that I so great street racing Honda is still a Honda and the guy in the m3 is still in a bmw which I assure you is a much nicer car in all aspects other than affordability. Ok enough of my novel. If you are so egar to back up hondas…. Which I have not actually dissed then email me at stumac@sbcglobal.net and we can talk more. Btw I drive and own an 02 325i,an 08 335i, an sl550, a 99 ford ranger and a yukon denali :) … Now if you read all this thanks and I hope you enjoy your day

truly not approve of the car types in this movie, mostly the 08 subie. its better than a fwd 1.8 honda. i’m a big sti fan but why the 08 why not the world class 06, add alittle beef to the movie, but street cerdit to the subaru cause the got the nice sounding engine(boxer) but a big negative on the style

  • lee duke says:

hey uh yah, they should of used something like the new mitzu evo or a new challenger for dom. and ive owned a 93 civic, yah it was a awesome bang fo the buck but their are helluva lot better cars.

the new wrx looks stupid im sure its a great car but it looks like a station wagon almost, and the mustang has been out for awhile they need to have brand new cars in it.

In case you guys forgot, movies like F&F2 and 3 are marketing platforms. Sure they right a script and make a plot but where do you think most of the money comes from? The studio funds movies like this by corporations that see a marketing spot that will generate money. Ford apparently jumped on this and that’s why the Mustang will be one of the key cars. Subaru knows that the bad press of the new WRX is hurting sales so what better way to correct that issue then a hit franchise based on the Import performance scene. I agree that Dodge should have jumped on this and stuck a new Challanger in there or even Nissan with there first time debut of the GTR on U.S shores. Regardless, I think that the return of Torreto is a good way of rejuvenating this franchise and I honestly liked the 3rd movie to so hopefully they stay on the right track. Lets justt hope there are no cheesy rappers in this one.
