Toy Story 3 Tops Domestic and Worldwide Box Office for 2010

Despite mostly scathing reviews and overwhelming grumblings about its less than stellar post-3D conversion, Warner Bros.’ “Clash of the Titans” remake still managed to land at the 10 spot on the list of box office winners for the year 2010. Louis Leterrier’s remake landed at #10 with $493.2 worldwide gross, easily beating out the surprising hit of the year, the “Karate Kid” remake, which clocks in at #11 with $358.7 million.

Meanwhile, “Despicable Me” proved to be the winner in the battle of CG movies about cuddly villains between it and Will Ferrel’s “Megamind” (which landed at the #23 spot with $229.6 million). “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″, meanwhile, could very well end up toppling both “Alice in Wonderland” and “Toy Story 3″ by the time it finishes up its run, though for 2010, it’ll have to settle for third place in overseas ticket sales.
