Trailer for the CW’s New Nikita TV Series

We’ve already posted a pretty comprehensive look at the CW’s new “Nikita” TV show, but here’s the first trailer that I’ve seen online. It features voiceover narration by Maggie Q. as Nikita, and it certainly promises an action-packed show with some humor to it. I’m still not buying Shane West as the love interest, but hey, maybe he’s better in the actual show and not so much in the clips and trailers.

When she was a deeply troubled teenager, Nikita was rescued from death row by a secret U.S. agency known only as Division, who faked her execution and told her she was being given a second chance to start a new life and serve her country. What they didn’t tell her was that she was being trained as a spy and assassin. Ultimately, Nikita was betrayed and her dreams shattered by the only people she thought she could trust.

Now, after three years in hiding, Nikita is seeking retribution and making it clear to her former bosses that she will stop at nothing to expose and destroy their covert operation. For the time being, however, Division continues to recruit and train other young people, erasing all evidence of their former lives and turning them into cold and efficient killers. One of these new recruits, Alex, is just beginning to understand what lies ahead for her and why the legendary Nikita made the desperate decision to run.

“Nikita” premieres in the Fall on the CW on Thursdays after “The Vampire Diaries”. Check your local listings.

I prefer Shane with Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca)…but I think it will be a love triangle ;)

As a HUGE fan of the USA series (La Femme Nikita) that this new CW series is based on, I can say that Nikita has big, big, big shoes to fill. La Femme Nikita was AWESOME! I've seen the French film that grandmothered the La Femme Nikita franchise, the Chinese remake (Black Cat), and the American remake (Point of No Return), and must say that I'm holding high expectations for the new series. I hope they are true to the guts of the story. Peta Wilson was an extraordinary Nikita in the USA series, and Roy Dupuis (who played Michael) was a perfect complement and love interest. They made magic that kept viewers riveted every week. I hope the new series is able to do the same.

There is a lot of all show coming back, either in movie or TV. What all this show have in common? Just imagine Tron without the main character in the movie or Battlestar Galactica with a remake that sucks and without having one of the previous main characters as part of the show, or let me say lately Star Trek the movie without Spok. Yes they pay respect to the many, many fans.
But no, the CW new Nikita is a slap on the face to us. Is awful. Casting sucks, acting sucks. Maggie look like a walking skeleton and Shane ahh.. can somebody call the cleaners please. Even the interior arrangements does not make sense, Who was the idiot that design the training room where many new recruits get train just beside the room in where all the Secret meetings are held… ohh let me see… the wall is even glass, so you just have to get close enough to see everything.. They just not disrespect the fans, the have branded all as idiots.
Fan haven’t found another La Femme Nikita to watch. Maggie is not Nikita, Sean is not Michael. They suck at their characters. Bad acting. I feel upset that they just created this awful version of what was a really good show. It is an insult to the many fans of La Femme Nikita franchise. I hope this sink like the Titanic, deep down the ocean..
