Trailer for The Fright Night Remake Bares its Fangs

Well, this is a surprise. I’ll be honest, I didn’t really expect too much from this remake of “Fright Night”, and I certainly didn’t expect the first trailer to be this effective. I love the use of comedy in the first minute or so of the trailer, the horror elements in the middle, and then the action in the final minute. Very, very well done trailer. Gotta admit, so much better than I was expecting.

Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.

Starring Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, David Tennant, Imogen Poots, Toni Collette, and directed by Craig Gillespie.

Looks decent enough, still love the old movies watched them back to back again last year or so, seems like they stuck to the material at hand and didn’t rethink the whole thing. So i’m keeping my fingers crossed.

  • Juggernaut

I was against the whole thing but I must say it did look cool.
