Trailer for Zack Snyder’s Legend of the Guardians aka Ga’hoole

I’m not sure I know anyone who has even heard of “The Guardians of Ga’Hoole” (since retitled the generic sounding “Legend of the Guardians”), though I suppose that won’t matter too much to kids, who are obviously the main target for Zack Snyder’s movie. It’s amusing to note that even in animated form, Snyder still manages to indulge in his usual trademark slow-motion shots. Now all we need is a gratuitous T&A scene featuring some owls. By the way, how do the owls put their battle helmets on ? Weird. Via Yahoo.

Based on “Guardians of Ga’Hoole” by Kathryn Lasky, the animated “Legend of the Guardians” follows Soren (voiced by Jim Sturgess), a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie’s, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga’Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie’s. The film is based on the first three books in the series.

Starring Emilie de Ravin, Abbie Cornish, Hugo Weaving, Geoffrey Rush, Helen Mirren, Jim Sturgess, Sam Neill, Ryan Kwanten, David Wenham, Miriam Margolyes, Jay Laga’aia, Emily Barclay, David Field, and directed by Zack Snyder.
