Not that it matters really, but eh, in case you were curious, according to Michael Bay himself, the plot of “Transformers 4” will be set 4 years after the events of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, which found the Autobots and humans destroying most of Downtown Chicago from those pesky Decepticons in order to save the world. Hey, whatever’s necessary, am I right?
The official news comes from Bay himself (via TMZ, of all places), who says:
The movie is going to continue four years from the attack on Chicago, which was in the last movie. It’s going to have the same lineage, but it’s going in a full new direction. It actually feels very natural how it’s going in that direction… We’re doing a lot of things that are really going to make it fresh and feel new.
As you probably know by now, Mark Wahlberg is the new savior of mankind, which I think is a new one for the actor. He’s saved his family (countless times) and his buddies (again, countless times), but I don’t think he’s ever been in a movie where he’s had to save the entire world yet. And, I think, this is his first shot at a big-time movie franchise, which I have to admit, surprised me even while I was typing it.
“Transformers 4” bows in 2014.
I know it’ll be set four years after “Dark of the Moon”, but do you think Bay will find a way to bring Rosie Huntington-Whiteley back, or, like a kid with ADD, he’ll just swap a hot blonde supermodel for another hot blonde supermodel?
