TV News: 2008 Emmy Nominations
Film Festivals, Movie Awards, Conventions, TV News — By Nix on July 17, 2008
The Emmys (or as it’s known to my senile grandmother, the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards) have just released this year’s batch of nominations, and as expected, pretty much the entire point goes out the window when the words “Two and a Half Men” show up anywhere among the list of nominees. Really, who can take the Emmys seriously when a piece of smoldering turd like Two and a Half Men gets nominated multiple times in major categories? But I digress. Here are the complete list of nominations (well, not a complete list, but you know, categories where, if you win an Emmy for, you can actually brag about with a straight face; I mean, seriously, “Outstanding Cinematography” for a Reality TV show, and “Outstanding Commercials”? Are you kidding me, Emmys?).
The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live, Sunday, September 21, at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles, California.

Damages is excellent, the best range of cable channels to both here and in the U.S.
I think Rose Byrne as Ellen is excellent actress and beautiful and still has much future in film and TV, and say that the veteran Glenn Close is impeccable and she won an Emmy this year deservedly. And at least Rose Byrne was shown the world of gold, but won an award from AFI Australian, alias the Australian actress is, despite not having any accent
I love damages and will have two more seasons
Damages to the success and Fx and Rose Byrne and Glenn Close
