Just a reminder: Timothy Olyphant’s “Justified” airs its second episode tonight on the FX Channel. The episode is called “Riverbrook”, and although it’s probably the least favorite of the first three episodes I saw, it’s still an amusing one, and continues to build on the show’s “shoe leather” approach to crime solving (i.e. no idiotic spinning cameras in neon-lit crime labs). Walton Goggins returns as Boyd Crowder (though essentially only a cameo, it lets us know that he’ll be sticking around), as does Damon Herriman as Dewey Crowe, who continues to learn that the outlaw life is hard. And yes, more of Joelle Carter as Ava. Yow.
In “Riverbrook”, Raylan hunts an escaped prisoner who is determined to reunite with his ex-wife and buried loot. We also learn a little bit more about Raylan’s fellow marshal, the deadshot Tim Gutterson, played by Jacob Pitts.
