Silly TV Spot for SyFy’s Upcoming Cheesefest Mega Python vs. Gatoroid

Any movie that proudly sports the words “Mega Python” and “Gatoroid” in its title automatically gets a few extra cool points in my book. The upcoming SyFy farce “Mega Python vs. Gatoroid” has been on my cinematic radar for a while now, thanks in part to last year’s viral video that featured co-stars Tiffany and Debbie Gibson going toe-to-toe in what has to be one of the cheesiest fight scenes ever filmed for television. It’s hard to believe that “Pet Sematary” director Mary Lambert is behind this nonsense, especially considering the aforementioned Stephen King adaptation still gives me the willies. “Gatoroid”, on the other hand, looks simply ridiculous, and promises to be one hell of a time. Assuming, of course, that you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night.

“Mega Python vs. Gatoroid” airs January 29th at 9pm on SyFy.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

Man, I love SyFy so much. It’s like they’re making the movies that are happening in my brain.
