The CW knows a good thing when it has one on its hands. (Which probably explains why SMALLVILLE ran for 30 seasons, heh heh.) The network has officially handed out early renewals to three of its shows, including a second season to its breakthrough superhero show ARROW.
The CW also handed out renewals to SUPERNATURAL, its aging monster-of-the-week show that will now have a guaranteed ninth season.
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES also got a renewal, with a guaranteed fifth season. The latter show is already so popular it’s spawning a spin-off vampire show.
