Didn’t catch the Canadian show “The Listener” when it premiered on American TV, but it’s still running pretty strong up North. Or at least, it’s currently in its second season.
The main cast photoshoot for TNT’s new sci-fi alien invasion show FALLING SKIES, starring Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Drew Roy, and Sarah Carter. Not everyone from the show, but I guess the four main characters.
AMC’s “Mad Men” is one of the best shows on TV. Or so I’ve been told. I’ve never actually seen it, but man, are the ladies on that show hot. One of them is Christina Hendricks. Check out some promo images featuring the lovely lass.
Promo images for “Camelot”, Episode 1.09, “The Battle of Bardon Pass”, the penultimate episode of the show’s first season. “Camelot” currently airs on the Starz Channel.
Those wacky kids at the WAREHOUSE 13 are back for a third season, with an all-new castmember in Aaron Ashmore, who joins the cast as new agent Steve Jinks. He joins returning castmembers Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Allison Scagliotti and Saul Rubinek. CCH Pounder is also back, but as before, will only recur.
One thing you can always count on about HBO’s “True Blood” — the promo stuff is going to look fantastic. I honestly don’t know who handles promotional stuff over there, but man, every single year, the “True Blood” people puts out some of the best looking posters in all of TVdom. You gotta wonder why other shows don’t promote their shows like them. Oh well. Check out three new “True Blood” Season 4 posters.
Some Season 1 promo images for the Starz Channel’s latest British-made TV series, “Camelot”, which takes a “re-imagined” look at the familiar tale of King Arthur and his merry men. Wait, wrong British adventure. I meant, King Arthur and his Round Table. Although this one also focuses pretty heavily on Merlin, too.
Mary-Louise Parker in a sexy “Weeds” promo pic? No surprise there. Check out Showtime’s smokingiest (see what I did there?) show and its leading lady tempting you to tune in.
The latest incarnation of “Doctor Who” recently started the season by coming to America. Or, Utah’s deserts, to be exact. Here are some promo images of Doctor Who’s Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, his latest companion, doing the Yank thing.
Kevin Williamson, the man behind the “Scream” movie franchise and “Dawson’s Creek”, one of the very first WB hits (back when the CW was still called WB TV, that is), is back again with THE SECRET CIRCLE, a show about teenage witches in a small town. Oooh, magic and intrigue and teenage romance! Or something like that. Check out our preview of the upcoming show below.
By now you’re either a fan of HBO’s fantasy TV show “Game of Thrones” or you don’t care for it. I happen to like it. It’s like “Lord of the Rings”, only with less orcs. Or, er, a giant red eye trying to ruin things for everyone. It’s actually pretty great to see such an epic fantasy on TV, and here’s hoping it lasts for a while. Some promo images from the show’s first season below.
Steve Buscemi as a tough guy mobster who kills people for profit and grabs some prostitute lovin’ whenever he feels like it? More, please! Check out a preview trailer for HBO’s new period gangster show, “Boardwalk Empire”. If it’s anything like HBO’s “Deadwood” or “Rome”, then this thing’s got major potential. Hey, having Martin Scorsese direct your pilot and stay on as a producer doesn’t hurt, either; I believe he knows a little bit about the mob life.
Ninja vs. Spartan? Jesse James vs. Al Capone? Who hasn’t spent a lot of hours arguing with their friends over who was the toughest mofo of them all? Probably every guy has at one point or another. Heck, even nerds and geeks probably argued about who would win in a fight, Superman or The Hulk, Jar Jar Binks or Tribbles, etc. Which makes this news that SpikeTV has renewed “The Deadliest Warrior” for a third season a cause for celebration.
Apparently there weren’t that many bloopers or mistakes in “Lost’s” sixth and final season, because this blooper reel (via E! Online) is awfully short at just around 30 seconds. Then again, this could just be a tease for you to buy the “Lost” Season Six DVD, which is coming out next week, August 24, 2010, and one presumes has a much longer gag reel.
When you think the name Shawn Ryan (“The Unit”, “The Shield”), you don’t think “breezy buddy-cop action/comedy”, but that looks exactly like what Ryan is going for in his new FX Network show “Terriers”. I could be wrong, of course, but I’m pretty sure I’m not. Check out our preview of the new show after the jump.
