Two Brand New Teasers for the Hong Kong Superhero Comedy Mr. and Mrs. Incredible

Although I wasn’t completely sold on the project when I posted the official trailer a few months ago, apparently a lot of people think that the upcoming Hong Kong comedy “Mr. and Mrs. Incredible” is going to blow the proverbial roof off of Asian cineplexes when it invades theaters next year. In addition to a promotional cartoon that is being used to help promote local tourism, a fresh pair of teasers have been released to help push the film to those who have yet to discover its goofy charms. And while the idea of yet another superhero comedy doesn’t thrill me, I’m beginning to warm to this charming little production. You’ll see what I mean in just a few moments.

But first, a full synopsis courtesy of 24 Frames per Second:

Love is never meant to be an easy matter – especially for superheroes. Gazer Captain (Louis Koo) falls in love with Red aka Aroma Woman (Sandra Ng). Getting tired of their lifestyle, they decide to retreat to a small village and start a family. Five years pass, Gazer and Red live a quiet and happy life. One day an official announces that an upcoming martial arts tournament will be held in their tranquil village. Hundreds of kung fu masters and fanatics arrive for the ultimate championship, then trouble really kicks off.

“Mr. and Mrs. Incredible” is scheduled to hit Hong Kong theaters on February 3rd, 2011, which just so happens to be on the Chinese New Year. The teasers, as well as an English-subtitled version of that tourism cartoon, are situated below.
