Two Fresh Avengers Images

Following up on that groovy new “Avengers” German trailer that popped up earlier in the day, here are two more images from Joss Whedon’s epic superhero team-up movie. Looks like the Chris’s are hard at work fighting evil in that first pic. The Iron Man shot is a tad generic. Could be all CG or practical or my grandmother in that Iron Man costume.

The plot finds the superheroes teaming up with those normal folks from SHIELD to battle the fiendish Loki with the fate of the world in the balance. Or as Iron Man calls it, Monday.

Starring Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgard, and avengin’ May 4, 2012.

thor looks like hes about to take a shit lol

  • Shazam!

Wasn’t Steve Rogers willing to be arrested and put on trial over revealing his secret identity in the comics… and here he is, fighting mask off in the middle of New York?

    Just saying is all…

    • Dedpool

Yes but that was tthe 70’s and 80’s and in the late 90’s -2000’s he was known to the world. Different times, different stories. In this version, like the Ultimate version the world knew he was Cap.

  • Shazam!

Fair enough, I guess it depends on whether or not they’re basing the character on the mainline Cap or Ultimate Cap. I was referring to the post Civil War story arc – I just assumed since they went all “cosmic cube” instead of following the Ultimate stream they were going that route. But the more I think of it, it seems like they’re taking the classic origins of the characters and then placing them in an Ultimate-esque present day.

    • Dedpool

His identity was known post civil war, it was the other heroes he was standing up for. And yeah the Marvel Cinematic Universe is pretty much a mix of the Ultimate and Mainstream universes.
