I’m not going to hold it against “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” that the studio apparently has such little faith in the film that they are sneaking it into theaters this Friday without press screenings. I’m a fan of the Ghost Rider, and even though most people hated the first movie, I didn’t mind it. Mind you, I’m not saying I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, but you know, for what it was — a comic book movie about a dude whose head is on fire — it wasn’t entirely awful. And really, isn’t that all you can ask for in a Nicolas Cage movie? Some goofy laughs and entertainment value? I thought “Ghost Rider” provided those two things. Anyways, here are two more clips for the sequel, “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance”, which brings the total to five. Please to watch.
It has been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster known as The Ghost Rider.
Also starring Idris Elba, Violante Placido, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Lambert, Fergus Riordan, Johnny Whitworth, and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.
Flaming out February 17, 2012.
