Two More Kid-Centric Stills from J.J. Abrams’ Super 8

Not gonna lie to you, folks: I’m pretty excited about this one, though it’s mostly due to nostalgia. “Super 8″ reminds me of the sort of spirited motion pictures I enjoyed watching as a kid, and J.J. Abrams seems to have a firm grasp of what made those movies so memorable. Below you’ll find two more photos from “Super 8″ that have been taken completely out of context. Do they reveal anything remarkable about the upcoming sci-fi adventure? Not really. Then again, I don’t want to know too much about the flick before I enter that darkened theater on June 10th, 2011.

In case you’ve been under that rock again, here’s the synopsis:

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.
