Haven’t seen much from Jason Statham’s “Safe” since Lionsgate released that first teaser trailer almost four months ago. To make up for it, here are two new images from the film. Yeah, not exactly mind-blowing images, but hey, it’s Statham looking like he’s ready to punch some dude out. That counts for something, right? (Then again, Statham always looks like that, so…) And oh, the trailer is embedded above in case you missed it the first time ’round.
The film finds Statham playing one of those ex-something-or-rather who is now down on his luck. He gets a chance at redemption when a 12-year old Chinese girl needs his help from various bad guys, including crooked cops, the mob, and Chinese gangsters. Statham has to do what Statham does best, which, in case you’re confused, involves lots of shooting and face-breaking.
Also starring Catherine Chan, Chris Sarandon, Robert John Burke, Reggie Lee, Danny Hoch, James Hong, and directed by Boaz Yakin.
