Aw yeah. Looks like things just got real on the third season of “The Walking Dead”, folks, cause it appears Rick and company have stumbled across something that could possibly save them — the safety of a prison surrounded by high fences. The only issue? There might be prisoners still inside. And these prisoners might be, uh, not so alive anymore. Oops?
Check out two new images from “The Walking Dead” Season 3, which finds Alpha Male Rick taking the survivors to a new facility, now that Hershel’s farm has gone kaput at the end of Season 3. Take note of Lauren Cohan’s Maggie, who seems to have transformed from country bumpkin into an Alice from the “Resident Evil” movies. Nice boots, Maggie!
As to what to expect from the upcoming season, showrunner Glen Mazzara had this to say:
I’m incredibly proud of the prison. I think our crew has done a great job. It’s a huge sense of scale and magnitude I haven’t seen on any other show as far as construction. What’s important to us is the prison itself is now a character in the show. It’s a haunted house, it’s scary, it’s frightening, and there are parts of the prison that are always terrifying, that are always inaccessible to our group. It’s not necessarily the blessing that the prison in the comic book turned out to be.
Season 3 of “The Walking Dead” starts up again this October. That is, if your cable provider still has AMC by then. As I hear it, people are losing their AMC left and right…
