Good to see that NBC is finally making good use of Summer Glau in their promos for their upcoming superhero show “The Cape”. Here are two more, a second one with Summer Glau’s Orwell character (Oh la la, indeed), and another that shows off the villains, including Vinnie Jones as a scaley-lizard bloke. Oooh, scary.

Vince Faraday is a devoted husband, father and cop, but when he is framed for a series of murders he didn’t commit and then presumed dead, he is forced into hiding while he tries to prove his innocence. Vince decides to take on the bad guys by becoming “The Cape,” a superhero from his son’s comic book series.

Starring David Lyons, Dorian Missick, James Frain, Jennifer Ferrin, Keith David, Ryan Wynott, Summer Glau, Vinnie Jones, and Martin Klebba.

Premiering January 9, 2010 at 9/8c.

I can’t wait. It’s going to kick ass.
David and Summer have serious chemistry going on between them. I’m going to love Vince and Orwell scenes, even if it’s only friendship/connection.

Summer Glau in a much more adult role…no craziness, and get’s to kick some ass too? And that’s just the hero support? Sounds like this could be a show with some legs of it’s own if the writing is good and consistent. The Cape is showing potential already.

    January 9? I’m there
