With the “X-Men” franchise basically buried for good by the Fox studio, the attention now turns to its spin-off movies, namely “Magneto” and “Wolverine”. First up seems to be the Hugh Jackman starring “Wolverine”, and now two names have surfaced as being potential directors for the further adventures of everyone’s favorite furry Canuck mutant — Len Wiseman (“Live Free or Die Hard”) and D.J. Caruso (“Disturbia”). Both men are coming off monster years (Caruso’s “Disturbia” shocked everyone by scoring big), while Wiseman’s “Die Hard” sequel is sure to be a major hit.
Caruso seems to be the favorite, with Wiseman in the wing in case Caruso passes or something else happens. Basically Mister Kate Beckinsale is a back-up.
