Jet Li’s 2011 movie “The Sorcerer and the White Snake” has been out oversees for some time now, and if you could probably find it on import DVD if you’re so inclined. But in case you’ve been hold out until you saw a U.S. trailer for the movie, well, here’s that U.S. trailer. I’m still not a fan of the wonky looking CG that the movie has to offer, but Jet Li kicking supernatural ass somewhat makes up for that. Our James Mudge reviewed the film last year, and so you can read his review here.

Action director Ching Siu-Tung helms this fantasy film based on an old Chinese legend about an herbalist who falls in love with a thousand-year-old White Snake disguised as a woman. Jet Li stars as a sorcerer who discovers her true identity and battles to save the man’s soul.

Starring Jet Li, Eva Huan, Charlene Choi, Raymond Lam, and directed by Ching Siu-Tung.

“The Sorcerer and the White Snake” opens in select theaters this February 8, 2013. Or, you know, you can just seek out the import DVD and save yourself the hassle of trying to find a theater that’s showing this.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with that assessment.
