If you still have no idea what the hell “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn” is all about, then this new U.S. trailer will fill you in. It’s about a kid and his dog and they chase a mysterious, long-lost ship. Or some such. The important thing to keep in mind here is that Tomfoolery ensues. Kids should love this movie, and adults aware of the character should as well. The rest of you? Try to get past the wonky animation and you might enjoy it as well. Probably.

Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present a 3D Motion Capture Film “The Adventures of Tintin” directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.

Starring Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones, Mackenzie Crook and directed by Steven Spielberg. Peter Jackson produced the film, if that matters to you.
