In “Burke and Hare”, Simon Pegg (Burke) and Andy Serkis (Hare) play grave robbers in 19th century England who goes to business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school. Hilarity, as they say, ensue. What type of hilarity, you ask? Getting crap thrown on them, for one. John Landis, who hasn’t directed a feature length film in what seems like centuries, returns to coordinate the poop, fart, and gay jokes.
Tim Curry, Isla Fisher, Christopher Lee, Hugh Bonneville, and Tom Wilkinson co-stars in the black comedy, which has yet to land a release date in the UK or the States.
