A new poster for Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” has ridden online. (Get it? Cause it’s a Western? Ahem.) By the way, since the film is a Western, what do you suppose the characters spend all that screentime chatting about? It can’t be other movies, comic books, or such, right? So what, the pros and cons of slavery? Cotton? Horse dung? Curious…
Anyways. “Django Unchained” stars Jamie Foxx as the titular Django, a former slave turned bounty hunter who, with the help of his German mentor (“Inglourious Basterds'” Christoph Waltz”) sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner played by a devilish Leonardo DiCaprio. My guess is you probably won’t be rooting for the evil plantation owner. I mean, come on, the whole owning slaves part just about does it, am I right?
Also starring Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, Walton Goggins, Don Johnson, RZA, Gerald McRaney, Anthony LaPaglia, James Russo, and M.C. Gainey, Django gets unchained then gets his revenge this Christmas, December 25, 2012.
