At first I thought Grégory Levasseur’s “The Pyramid” was another Found Footage horror movie. I really, really do not like Found Footage horror movies. I appreciate that they’re cheap to make and an easy way for horror film directors to get in “the biz,” but still, they’re almost always 90% boring and 10% mildly interesting at the very end. But I was wrong about “The Pyramid.” It’s apparently just really bad shaky cam filmmaking.
Anyways, take a gander at the first trailer for the movie. Which just goes to show you, when nosy Americans show up on the scene, people always die. Stop being so damn nosy, Americans!
The ancient wonders of the world have long cursed explorers who’ve dared to uncover their secrets. But a team of U.S. archaeologists gets more than they bargained for when they discover a lost pyramid unlike any other in the Egyptian desert. As they unlock the horrific secrets buried within, they realize they aren’t just trapped, they are being hunted.
