Under The Dome Adds Natalie Martinez and Alex Koch

Natalie Martinez in Detroit 1-8-7CBS’ adaptation of Stephen King’s “Under the Dome”, set to make its 13-episode first season debut sometime this Summer on the network, has added two more to its cast — Natalie Martinez and Alex Koch.

Martinez, no stranger to cop roles, will be playing another cop — a deputy, in this case — in the show. She will play Linda, described as “a young, ambitious deputy, fiercely loyal to Sheriff Duke Perkins, who runs a tight ship in the town of Chester’s Mill.”

Sheriff Duke Perkins hasn’t been cast yet.

Chester’s Mill, of course, is the town at the center of “Under the Dome”, that finds itself inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.

Natalie Martinez can currently be seen in the Mark Wahlberg crime thriller “Broken City”, and recently appeared in the cop drama “End of Watch”. She’s also appeared regularly as a cop on CBS’ “CSI: New York”, and previously played a Detective on ABC’s criminally underappreciated show “Detroit 1-8-7”. Like I said, the pretty lady isn’t a stranger around cop roles.

Martinez’s fellow castmember Alex Koch will play Junior Rennie, the son of the local politician and car dealer who is described as “a smart, secretly deeply disturbed college freshman desperately in love with local girl Angie, a waitress who’s desperate to get out of Chester’s Mill.”

Angie still hasn’t been cast, either.

As with most King novels, expect the cast of “Under the Dome” to be huge.
