Plot: The prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

I cant wait to see Rise of the Lycans, I have been a vampire fan all of my life, I have seen almost every Vamp movie availible but Underworld blew all others away, its storyline was amazing, Underworld 2 answered questions about the first movie that I tought it was as good or better.
I expect Rise of the Lycans will live up to my expectations.

Ok. I liked both Underworld movies, but… I expected the sequel, not the prequel. I’m a bit dissapointed. I want to see the continuation of the story, not their implementation of the known story given in the first two movies.
Also, when I like movie I get sort of connected with main characters, so I don’t like replacements. What I think the situation here is that the main character(s) refused to appear in the new Underworld movie, so they decided to completely change the approach (and make prequel instead of sequel) in order to avoid any drastic changes. I think, almost everyone (if not everyone, but myself for sure) would never like to see any other actress in the role of Selena except for Kate Beckinsale.
There is more to say, but to make it short, I am absolutely sure I won’t like this one as the first two.

The movies are based on the books,, so the third book was already a prequel,, not a denied part… Although i do believe they go back and forth in the book a little bit,,, but mostly the back in the day story
The purpose of this movie, Is the writers felt they had more of the orgins that they felt they needed to explain. Selene isn’t being replaced. She’s not starring in this at all due to the fact that her character is not required in this film. The same can be said for Michael. But you are correct, I would eventually like to see a sequel.
Lucian is a better main character in my opinion, i love the actor portraying him, maybe someone could ressurect him in a sequel XD

Honestly i dont thnk im gonna like this movie very much.I expected it to be something about selene and micheal.I mean does selene get pregnat because of what they did in the second movie? Do selene and micheal have the first hybrid baby?Do the lycans and vampires try to kll selene and micheal?Im really disappointed because i loved the first two movies and i thought the third one was gonne be better but its not. I wanted to see what happens with selene and micheal.Hopefully there will be a fourth movie of underworld and it will continue the sequal of selene and micheals life.

We both lovedd the first two movies and are verry bummed about the third. We had been waiting for the third one since we watched the second one because we thought it was gonna continue with selene end micheals life.Hopefully scott speedman can let his hair grow and there can be a fourth movie of underworld.!We loved the relationship that micheal and selene had and it just makes you want to know what happens after what they did in the second movie. but if Kate B. wasn’t going to take her as Selene, I don’t know if could believe some else in that role. Hopefully they will convince her and do a sequel, but for now I hope this prequel hole me over.
Ok i was pretty pist when i heard that the third movie of underworld was a prequel and not a sequel,so i did some research and turns out that there is gonna be a fourth movie of underworld!And its gonna continue where selene and micheal left off in the second movie!Thats so cool i cant wait to see it!The only thing is i dont know if its gonna be the same actors in the role of selene and micheal.I dont really care if any of the other actors are the same as long as micheal and selene are the same actors (because they are the main actors)im satisfied.

the storyline with selena and michael sucks. honestly, i was so hyped when the first underwold came out, nad by the time i left the theater i was paralyzed with confusion about how such a cool concept could be done so poorly.

i think a prequel is what this franchise needs. when they showed bits of the origins in both movies i always though i would love to see that movie instead.
