Universal has set release dates for their tentpole films for the next few years, including the CIA actioner “Safe House” with Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, which will be blasting into theaters February 10, 2012.

Other notable release date include:

“Contraband”, the crime remake of “Reykjavik Rotterdam”, starring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale, arrives March 16, 2012.

The Bourne-less “Bourne Legacy” shoots into theaters August 3, 2012 from writer/director Tony Gilroy. I guess this means they better start casting this thing soon.

“Ouija”, the action-adventure movie based on the Hasbro board game, brings out the spirits November 9, 2012. Sorry, horror fans, it’s not supposed to be scary.

Keanu Reeves’ Samurai movie (yeah, I still can’t get used to typing that) slashes its way into theaters November 21, 2012, from director Carl Rinsch.

“Snow White and the Huntsman”, which is quickly gaining steam now that names like Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron are “circling” it, will show up December 21, 2012.

And finally, Ron Howard’s mega “The Dark Tower” franchise kick-off is slated to survive the wastelands May 17, 2013.

About the Dark Tower, I’ll believe it when i see it.
Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) should play Roland. I’d like to see him do something on the big screen. He can do dark (Blair Witch II).
