Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning Clip Suffers From Massive Road Rage

Mariah Bonner and Scott Adkins in Universal Soldier - Day of Reckoning (2012) Movie Image

You should know that this car chase sequence from John Hyams’ “Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning” is probably the film’s most traditional “action movie” sequence. What’s more traditional than a movie car chase, after all? The rest of the film is nothing like this. Feel free to read my review of the film to understand why. Anyways, in this clip, hero John and his stripper companion are being chased by a Universal Soldier determined to end them. Now that’s what I call road rage.

John (Adkins, The Expendables 2) wakes up from a coma to discover his wife and daughter were slaughtered in a brutal home invasion. Haunted by images of the attack, he vows to kill the man responsible, Luc Deveraux (Van Damme). While John tries to piece his reality back together, things get more complicated when he is pursued by a relentless UniSol (Arlovski). As John gets closer to Deveraux and the rouge army of genetically enhanced warriors led by back-from-the-dead leader Andrew Scott (Lundgren), John discovers more about himself and begins to call into question everything he believed to be true.

“Day of Reckoning” stars Jean-Claude Van Damme, Scott Adkins, Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski, Dolph Lundgren, and is currently available on VOD, and opens theatrically November 30th, 2012.
