Update on Josh Hartnett’s I Come with the Rain

Written by Nix | August 18th, 2007 | 1 Comment |

Here’s a brief update on Josh Hartnett’s intriguingly titled new movie, “I Come with the Rain”. (I mean, how cool is that title? It makes me wish the Will Smith movie “John Hancock” had stuck with its similarly cool-sound title, “Tonight he Come”. But I digress.) Via this Lee Byeong-heon fansite, there’s a look at a small version of the movie poster (thumbnail image to your left, a slighter bigger version below), plus a cast list that includes Josh Hartnett, Harvey Keitel, Tran Nu Yen-Khe, Elias Koteas, Lee Byeong-heon. The director is still Tran Ahn Hung, and although the film film is still set in Hong Kong, shooting has already begun in … Mount Diwalwal, the Philippines?

Ex-Los Angeles cop turned private eye Kline (Hartnett) travels to Hong Kong in search of Shitao, the missing son of a chinese billionaire. Enlisting Meng Zi (Wu) a friend and a former colleague now working for the Hong Kong Police, Kline follows a faint trail left by the ethereal Shitao. The path leads to local gangster Su Dongpo (Lee) and his beautiful, drug addicted girlfriend Lili (Tran). But Kline is distracted from his search, haunted by memories of the serial killer Hasford (Koteas)whose ‘body of work’ was the reason Kline quit the police force. Will Kline once again need to lose his mind to find his latest quarry?

Here’s a local Philippines news station covering Hartnett’s shooting of “I Come with the Rain”:
