U.S. Poster for Greg McLean’s Rogue, Release Date

Written by Nix | April 10th, 2008 | 1 Comment |

Take a look at the latest poster for Greg McLean’s killer croc movie “Rogue”, and tell me this thing doesn’t have “Sci Fi Channel World Premiere” written all over it? I guess I was just expecting something more. Anyways, the film is scheduled for a limited release in the U.S. on April 25th, 2008, but like all movies purchased by the Weinstein Company for domestic consumption, the film has sat on the shelves until now. Via Third Rail Releasing, the Weinsteins will finally release the film into theaters, where it will no doubt quickly disappear, only to re-appear again on DVD with a heavy (and much cheaper) advertising campaign.

An American travel writer working on a piece in the Australian outback puts him on the menu for an oversized crocodile who stalks the scribe on a river cruise.

Starring Radha Mitchell, Sam Worthington, Stephen Curry, John Jarratt, Mia Wasikoska, and directed by Greg McLean.

The film will be released on April 25th in these cities: San Francisco, Dallas, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, Tampa, Miami, Phoenix, Denver, San Diego. Unless you live in the above cities, your best bet to see this is probably on DVD, where it should arrive pretty quickly once it’s fulfilled its theatrical obligations to McLean and company.
