Uwe Boll Gets Serious: Darfur Trailer
Darfur (2009) Movie, Videos — By Nix on November 5, 2009
For a guy whose funding is supposed to have dried up, Uwe Boll is still making a hell of a lot of movies nowadays. His latest is “Darfur”, which looks a lot like a serious attempt at getting some respect. The trailer has shown up online, and you can judge for yourself if it’s just a cheaper version of the Bruce Willis actioner “Tears of the Sun” or if this is something that will change your mind about Uwe Boll. Of course, it probably doesn’t help too much that the whole thing starts off looking like a somber documentary about the Darfur genocide before devolving into generic gunplay towards the end. And the presence of Billy Zane, Edward Furlong, and familiar Uwe Boll muse Kristanna Loken probably doesn’t help, either.
American journalists in Sudan are confronted with the dilemma of whether to return home to report on the atrocities they have seen, or to stay behind and help some of the victims they have encountered.
Starring Edward Furlong , Billy Zane, Kristanna Loken, Matt Frewer, David O’Hara, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Noah Danby, Sammy Sheik, Az Abrahams, and directed by Uwe Boll.
