Vin Diesel Confirms that Fast Five Will Go to Brazil

Via his Facebook account, Vin Diesel seems to have confirmed in a post that the latest “Fast and Furious” sequel, to be called “Fast Five”, will see Dom and company running from the gringo law down in Brazil, since he’s currently jetting down there right now to scout the beaches and, possibly, some cars, too. But definitely the beaches. Vin likes the girlies. Brazil, or parts South America, has been the sequel’s rumored destination for a while now, but this is the first sorta confirmation.

Had a meeting with Justin Lin today regarding the Fast saga… some daring but fascinating thoughts in terms of action set pieces… and relationships, old and new.

The team is on their way to Brazil this evening, to scout, and to see what selection of cars there are.

Justin Lin will return to direct, while Chris Morgan will once again handle scripting duties. Diesel and Paul Walker returning is a given, but still no word on Jordana Brewster, though it would make sense for her to come back as well. Certainly, the actress doesn’t have that much going on that she would turn it down.

Shooting is expected to commence later this year for a 2011 release.

So, uh, I'm coming back, too, right, Vin? Vin?
