Warren Ellis’ G.I. Joe: Resolute Airing Dates

By now you’ve probably seen that bootleg footage from the animated “G.I. Joe: Resolute” penned by comic book scribe Warren Ellis. If not, then you should go there and see it now. It’s very cool. It’s at least 10 times cooler than anything I’ve seen from the live-action movie so far. Now we have official air dates for the animated series, which will air both online and on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim (their adult-oriented line-up). Hint: the first 5 minutes goes up on AdultSwim.com tomorrow!

Via Hasbro:

Beginning on April 17, fans will be able to see the first five minutes of the brand new, stand-alone animated mini-series on AdultSwim.com. These episodes are broken down to ten 5-minute episodes and one 10-minute finale. Following the first episode on April 17, subsequent installments will be posted on the Adult Swim website leading up to a full presentation of the entire series. This finale will be broadcast on Adult Swim April 25 at midnight. This televised event will not only feature all episodes seen online, but will be the first time fans can watch the final 10 minutes of the G.I. Joe: Resolute saga. All episodes, including the finale, will be available to view online after this airing.

Get all that?

Here it is one more time: The first 5-minute episode airs tomorrow on AdultSwim.com. There will be 10 5-minute episodes total, for a total of 50 minutes. Once all 10 episodes have aired online, the entire thing will be shown in its entirety (including the final 10 minutes not aired online) on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim line-up on April 25th at midnight.
