Watch 7 Minutes of Wanted Now

For your perusal pleasure, here is a 7-minute clip from Russian director Timur Bekmambetov’s Hollywood debut, “Wanted”. It’s nothing you haven’t seen before, but it does extend the supermarket scene where Fox meets Wesley for the first time and informs him about his dear old dead dad. Plus, the car chase that follows.

The film stars James McAvoy as a office drone who gets pulled out of his comfy but very crappy existence by Angelina Jolie, and into a world full of excitement, action, flipping cars, curving bullets, and blue ball inspired teasing by Jolie. Hey, it sounds just like my Sunday nights — minus the flipping cars, that is. I can only pull those off on Saturdays. Plus, Angelina Jolie has never climbed up on top of my car hood and showed me her hoo-haa. YET.

Some observations about the clip: Besides the action, there’s a visual gag every other scene. Well, that’s one way to convince the audience not to take all the flipping cars and curving bullets seriously, I suppose.
