X-Men Days of Future Past Comic Book Image

Here’s even more of that leaked trailer for Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” that the director brought over to Fantasia Fest not all that long ago. We previously posted about 30 seconds of the same footage, but this new trailer is about 90 seconds long, and might be the entire thing, give or take a few extra seconds snipped at the end there.

How long will it stay up? Your guess is as good as mine. I’m guessing, not all that long! So, uh, watch it while you still can, kids!

The original storyline had Kitty Pryde going back in time, but it looks like Wolverine is taking over the Pryde role, and it’s Wolvie who is sent back in time by Professor X and Magneto in the movie version. Makes sense, especially since Kitty Pryde was barely in any of the “X-Men” movies, as least compared to Wolverine.

The film stars Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart.

Saving the future next year, July 18, 2014.

This is very different but this seems like the best story since First Class! I’m in!

I need to see more to make a judgement but they look like they nailed Blink! Bishop looks really good. Beast looked buch better than he did in First Class too. I hope this turns out really good.

Not gonna watch it. I’ll wait for a good version. Disappointed it’s going to be another Wolverine movie though. There have been enough of those arleady. I was hoping to see him get disintergrated by a sentinel.

Back during the comic run, it was the turn to all things Wolverine that turned me off to the original X-Men run. I shortly stopped buying by the time his costume went brown and there were ninjas falling out of the trees. Give me the classic 5 any day.

It’s going to be really hard to pretend Halle Berry isn’t in this movie, but hopefully there will be enough good action to compensate. I think really, at the end of the day, we are all going to judge this movie by how many plot holes it has- almost like golf. The lower the score, the better the movie

Also, where are Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister? Being saved for the inevitable reboot maybe?

Perhaps they’ll take advantage of the obvious reason to finally give Wolverine a mask- it messes with the Sentinels’ facial recognition software!

I really wish they hadn’t given this franchise back to Singer. First Class showed some real potential and it would have been nice for them to continue down that road. Instead, we go back into Singer’s tired universe and have to endure a messy crossover that (yet again) revolves around Wolverine.

Everyone claiming this is another Wolverine movie is making that call too soon. Yes he’s what connects the past and future but this looks to be about Xavier and Magneto again as well.
