Watch Captain America’s Final Scene and Pieces of the Avengers Trailer

Haven’t seen Marvel’s “Captain America: The First Avenger” yet? What are you, a stinkin’ Commie? It’s definitely a good movie, and I like to think it’s almost as good as “Iron Man”, but certainly better than “Thor” or “The Incredible Hulk”. (And no, I am not including Fox’s “X-Men: First Class” on that list. Sure, it’s a Marvel movie, but it’s not a Marvel movie, if you know what I mean. Hell, “First Class” didn’t even make the effort to put in a Stan Lee cameo, for Christ sake. How much more un-Marvel could you be?)

Anyways, in case you haven’t seen “The First Avenger” yet, here’s parts of the final scene from the movie. Not all of it, mind you, just about 30 seconds worth. No, it’s not a bootleg clip, it’s an official release. Not only has Marvel decided to release this a week after the film opened, but they’re also showing the Nick Fury scene in current TV spots for the film, so I guess you could say the cat is out of the bag. The scene itself is what you would call something of a non sequitur, as it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of “Captain America”, and is more of a tack-on for Marvel’s superteam film “The Avengers” next year.

Speaking of which, after the 30-or so seconds of “Captain America’s” final scene, you get glimpses of that “Avengers” teaser trailer that was tacked on to the end of “Captain America”.

“Captain America: The First Avenger” stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, and is currently in theaters everywhere.

It’s weird that the clip is basically a teaser… for a teaser. But I didn’t notice until I saw the still above that Ruffalo (?) seems to be wearing a purple shirt. It’s going to be bad-ASS to see the whole team onscreen together.

Please, no more Hulk movies. Two is enough. The fact that you can basically only pit him against other big, monster-type opponents gets tiresome.

But unfortunately, the first one couldn’t even manage that. Damn you Ang Lee

        • http://www.beyondhollywood.com/ Nix

Didn’t he battle the giant rock guy/daddy in the first one? Basically, same type of villain classification.

          • Juggernaut

Yeah, not sure what they were thinking. There were a lot of problems with that one. I think that they were trying to incorporate the classic Hulk foe Absorbing Man, or atleast his abilities…sorta?, and at the same time create an unessasary emotional link. UGH!!!

Actually Nix, if there was a sequel he would be against the Leader who is an Intelectual Villain, so it would be quite different…

        • Juggernaut

That’s where I see a sequel going too. They set it up in TIH, A tie to the other Marvel films could open up some other possibilities as well. Maybe do a proper version of Absorbing Man since they ruined that prospect so badly in Ang Lee’s film. I do agree that most hulk stories are a bit cookie cutter. Hulk Vs. random big creature, Hulk Vs. Military, etc.

        • http://www.beyondhollywood.com/ Nix

Not really. Hulk would just end up slugging it out with some giant monster the Leader created, etc. Hard to have the Hulk fight a guy with a big head. Wouldn’t actually look good onscreen.

          • Juggernaut

You dare doubt the foil that is the big headed villain! Lol. Green Lantern did it and look how well that turned out! (that was sarcasm by the way.)

    • Juggernaut

I’d personally like to see a JJ Abrams Hulk! I’d love to see his version of The Leader and possibly bringing in She-Hulk, Rick Jones, transforming Doc Samson and maybe a take on the whole grey Hulk angle would be awesome! A Paul Greengrass helmed Black Widow film would be cool too. Maybe a Martin Cambell take on Hawkeye. I’m still waiting for a Black Panther movie. Lol. I’d like to see Edward Zwick direct. And finally… drum roll please…

      STEVEN SPIELBERG’S AVENGERS 2!

    Co0L & AwEs0Me teaser!!!

  • Eagle Eye

Did anyone notice how Thor’s Cape seemed to like folded over or sumthing in the Picture at the bottom?

    PS

Ruffalo looks rather good as Bruce Banner:)
