Haven’t seen Marvel’s “Captain America: The First Avenger” yet? What are you, a stinkin’ Commie? It’s definitely a good movie, and I like to think it’s almost as good as “Iron Man”, but certainly better than “Thor” or “The Incredible Hulk”. (And no, I am not including Fox’s “X-Men: First Class” on that list. Sure, it’s a Marvel movie, but it’s not a Marvel movie, if you know what I mean. Hell, “First Class” didn’t even make the effort to put in a Stan Lee cameo, for Christ sake. How much more un-Marvel could you be?)
Anyways, in case you haven’t seen “The First Avenger” yet, here’s parts of the final scene from the movie. Not all of it, mind you, just about 30 seconds worth. No, it’s not a bootleg clip, it’s an official release. Not only has Marvel decided to release this a week after the film opened, but they’re also showing the Nick Fury scene in current TV spots for the film, so I guess you could say the cat is out of the bag. The scene itself is what you would call something of a non sequitur, as it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of “Captain America”, and is more of a tack-on for Marvel’s superteam film “The Avengers” next year.
Speaking of which, after the 30-or so seconds of “Captain America’s” final scene, you get glimpses of that “Avengers” teaser trailer that was tacked on to the end of “Captain America”.
“Captain America: The First Avenger” stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, and is currently in theaters everywhere.
