Watch Captain America’s Final Scene and Pieces of the Avengers Trailer

Haven’t seen Marvel’s “Captain America: The First Avenger” yet? What are you, a stinkin’ Commie? It’s definitely a good movie, and I like to think it’s almost as good as “Iron Man”, but certainly better than “Thor” or “The Incredible Hulk”. (And no, I am not including Fox’s “X-Men: First Class” on that list. Sure, it’s a Marvel movie, but it’s not a Marvel movie, if you know what I mean. Hell, “First Class” didn’t even make the effort to put in a Stan Lee cameo, for Christ sake. How much more un-Marvel could you be?)

Anyways, in case you haven’t seen “The First Avenger” yet, here’s parts of the final scene from the movie. Not all of it, mind you, just about 30 seconds worth. No, it’s not a bootleg clip, it’s an official release. Not only has Marvel decided to release this a week after the film opened, but they’re also showing the Nick Fury scene in current TV spots for the film, so I guess you could say the cat is out of the bag. The scene itself is what you would call something of a non sequitur, as it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of “Captain America”, and is more of a tack-on for Marvel’s superteam film “The Avengers” next year.

Speaking of which, after the 30-or so seconds of “Captain America’s” final scene, you get glimpses of that “Avengers” teaser trailer that was tacked on to the end of “Captain America”.

“Captain America: The First Avenger” stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, and is currently in theaters everywhere.

Cool Stories From Zergnet

Did anyone notice how Thor’s Cape seemed to like folded over or sumthing in the Picture at the bottom?

    PS

Ruffalo looks rather good as Bruce Banner:)

    • Juggernaut

In the leaked version of the trailer Thor’s suit looked much darker. I was sure that it was his Ultimates costume (black leather, big belt, no sleeves). However, it looks like they have meshed his movie version and the Ultimates version very well. Sort of an allusion to it with out beating you over the head ya know? They seem to have streamlined the cape just to do that. Nicely done Marvel. Can’t wait!

    OMG looks so good

The last scene was very poignant and really showed that even after all he’s been through he’s still the awkward kid from Brooklyn that just wanted to get the girl once. “I had a date.” Such a great line in that scene. Love the teaser. Can’t wait for it. @Juggy yeah all that would be well and good, but unless we’re doing Planet Hulk in the end we still get Hulk vs Monster/military/someone trying to take advantage of him.

    • Juggernaut

No matter what, the military, General Ross specifically, is The Hulk’s arch enemy. Not only will he be incorporated into most stories, he should be. They could bring in Glenn Talbot as Ross’ new number 2 to head up the capture efforts. He could lead the Hulkbusters, The U-Foes or Pantheon. They can always be hot on Bruce’s heels as he tries to narrowly escape them he can also have encounters with other, outside problems like Wendigo, Absorbing Man, Bi-Beast, etc.). A lot of his most famous enemies are groups. If they introduced them as highly trained, miltary funded, mercanaries that would be cool while making it a bit more grounded in reality. Obviously this can’t be a formula that they do more than once but it would break up the monotany of fighting big creatures or gamma baddies. Just a thought.

I can see a military/tehc based group as the Pantheon. Hulkbusters is definitely an idea. Also morphing the Hulk to his various personalities could also be interesting stories. Throw in Doc Sampson, and a lil bit of Rick Jones too for good measure.
        Sent on the go.

I do agree about the final scene it was perfect. Great movie all around.

That is exacxtly what I was thinking. General Ross recruits Talbot to head up a new, elite, high-tech group. I’m thinking of the name being PANTHEON (with the name being an anagram of some kind). They man an aborted Stark Industries tech called the Hulkbusters. They are after Banner as per usual. Banner seekeing refuge contacts Betty and old friends Marlo and Rick Jones. They are trying to get him across the border to meet with Betty’s old colleague and former love interest, Dr. Leonard Samson and two genetics scientists that was a former students of the missing Samuel Sterns(The Leader) and were continuing his work, Jim Wilson and Kate Waynesboro. They hope to have Banner put into a hypnotic state to reach the intelligent side of Banner and inject a modifies version of Sterns’ antidote. During the procedure Pantheon finds them and awakens the Hulk persona while Banner id=s hypnotized and it results in the Grey Hulk. I haven’t thought too much as to what the Leader’s role would be yet.

id like to see the hulk verses movies as a live action sequel imagine hulk verses wolverine or hulk verses thor

    • Juggernaut

I’m not sure how likely a full length Hulk VS. movie would be. Especially VS. Wolverine since Fox owns his movie rights. They did say that there will be some fun interaction between Thor and Hulk in the Avengers movie. I’d love to see an epic smackdown between them.
