If you saw last year’s “Jack Reacher”, Christopher McQuarrie’s adaptation of the Lee Child novel “One Shot” starring Tom Cruise as the laconic former lawman turned road warrior/vigilante, then you probably saw a scene early in the film when Reacher is talking to lawyer Helen Rodin (Rosamund Pike’s character) in the police station.
In that scene, you see a uniformed cop in the background. That’s author Lee Child doing a cameo in the film. If you missed that scene, or didn’t know who it was, you can watch it again below.
Paramount has “Jack Reacher” set to hit DVD/Blu-ray this May 7th, 2013 (see the box cover art below) and they’ve released the clip featuring Child’s cameo. It’s a good thing Child is sitting down for the cameo because he’s like 7 feet tall or something.
I’m still hoping Cruise will get a “Jack Reacher 2” up and running. I though the did a bang-up job in the role, shortcomings, er, notwithstanding.
