…that will probably show up for a few seconds in the finished movie. Or thereabouts.
As previously reported, Zack Snyder’s “Batman vs. Superman” movie is already filming, and though the big guns (Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman) are nowhere to be seen, Snyder himself did show up at East Los Angeles College’s Weingart Stadium to direct. So if Snyder actually showed up and didn’t leave this to a second unit, I guess the scene might be somewhat important after all, and may not end up on the cutting room floor.
There were apparently two scenes shot from different angles, a sack and a TD throw. The whole thing was supposed to take place during halftime, but apparently there were additional shoots after the game as well. I guess East Los Angeles College’s football games aren’t that popular, because that stadium looks pretty bare.
Anyways, Batman-News has your look at the jerseys for the two teams that were “playing”, Gotham City University and their rival school Metropolis State University:
And here are a pair of videos of the scenes they shot:
Directed by Zack Snyder, “Batman vs. Superman” opens July 17th, 2015.
