Marvel and “The Avengers” were mostly MIA in terms of a Hall H presence at Comic Con this year, but curiously they seem to be trying to make up for that lapse in attendance by staging the biggest panel at the New York version of Comic Con over the weekend. I’m really not sure what the idea behind skipping the popular and heavily attended SDCC for the much lighter NYCC is, but maybe they’re just trying to save money on air fare? Who knows.
In any case, if you were one of those cash-strapped people who couldn’t make it to New York for the Con this weekend, have no fear, Marvel has released the Avengers panel, including a signing session with fans by Chris Evans and Tom Hiddleston. Presented and accounted for on the panel: Marvel head honcho Kevin Fiege, and castmembers Evans, Hiddleston, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, and Mark Ruffalo.
“The Avenger” assemble on the big screen on May 4, 2012.
