Watch the First 14 Minutes of HBO’s Game of Thrones

HBO has released the first 15 minutes of their sure-to-be controversial new show “Game of Thrones”, based on the series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin. There isn’t any of the sex and uber violence that the show is expected to field in these first 15 minutes, but there is plenty of other stuff to get you excited about seeing the boys and girls of Westeros come to life on the small screen. The show is boasting an estimated $50 million dollar budget, which translates to about $5 million an episode for the 10-episode first season. Yeah, so, nothing cheap here, folks, and I think you can tell from the first 15 minutes shown below.

The stellar cast includes Harry Lloyd, Mark Addy, Alfie Allen, Sean Bean, Ciaran Bermingham, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Roy Dotrice, Michelle Fairley, Jack Gleeson, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Finn Jones, Richard Madde, Rory McCann, and the new Conan himself, Jason Momoa.

The games begin on HBO April 17th.

Will be in Coachella that weekend, but my DVR is already setup. I’m in serious need of good shows right now.

Looks awesome. From those first fifteen minutes, it looks rather accurate. I wonder if the dire wolves are going to make an appearance. Seems like they would be difficult to include.
